How do I join?

Call us at 888-290-1209 or fill out the form on our website and one of our team members would be happy to answer any questions you have and schedule you for your first appointment.

What is your focus for treatment?

We offer everything you'd expect from a primary care practice, with a special focus on the conditions that commonly affect women 50+.

Are you available via phone at all hours?

Yes, we are available 24/7. Please call us at 888-290-1209 with any questions. Calls made outside business hours will be connected to an after-hours on-call service staffed by Registered Nurses.

Which health system is Herself Health affiliated with?

Herself Health is not affiliated with any health system.

Do you have a patient portal?

Yes, we use a patient portal called AthenaHealth. Our team will help you create your account at the end of your first appointment.

How do I contact Herself Health for press inquiries?

Insurance

What insurance do you accept?

We accept Medicare Part B, Medicare Supplement (also known as Medigap), and most Medicare Advantage plans in Minneapolis-St. Paul. If you have questions or don't have Medicare and want to learn about the Herself Health Membership, call us at 888-290-1209.

Can I be seen if my insurance is out of network?

We are unable to accept out of network patients at this time, but if you'd like to provide us with your current insurance plan, we can contact you if and when we begin taking your insurance.

How can I contact your billing department?

To contact our billing department please call us at (612) 474-2165.

Specialists and Hospitals

What hospitals do you work with?

We partner with all hospitals, so you can use your preferred hospital as long as it is in-network with your insurance plan.

What specialists do you work with?

We will coordinate with all specialists that you currently see as long as they are in-network with your insurance plan. If you don't already have a specialist for a particular condition requiring consultation, our providers will make appropriate referrals based on your location, insurance coverage, and their previous experiences.

Providers

Can I choose which provider to see?

Yes, you can choose which provider you would like to see. We have amazing providers from all different backgrounds and experiences. Everyone is specialized and trained in treating women 50 and up. All of our providers are listed on our website.

Are your providers board certified?

Our providers are board certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics. Additionally, some are certified in Lifestyle Medicine which is a secondary board certification.

Who will be a part of my Care Team?

You will have access to your dedicated Provider, Medical Assistants, and Nurses. If you're on Medicare, you'll also have access to our Insurance Support Specialists and Care Coordinators.

Labs and Medication

Do you offer in-house labs?

We offer comprehensive metabolic panels, lipid panels, microalbumin for diabetes, hemoglobin, urinalysis, Rapid Flu/COVID/Strep, PT/INR, and A1C testing as well as B12 injections. For any labs that we do not run in-house, we will refer you to a local Quest testing site.

Are you offering the flu and COVID vaccines?

We do offer the flu vaccine in our clinics. We are currently not offering COVID or RSV vaccinations in the clinic, but we can help identify the closest pharmacy to you for vaccination.

Which pharmacy do you work with?

We will work with whichever pharmacy you choose.

Telehealth Visits

Do you offer virtual visits?

Yes, we offer virtual visits for initial and follow-up visits.

How will I get my virtual visit link/information?

You will be emailed and texted a link to the zoom visit after you are checked in by the medical assistant 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your appointment.
